A Bit Of History :
The Rosé de Gambrinus is produced in the same way as a traditional Kriek except that raspberries are used in its composition instead of cherries. Thus, fresh raspberries are macerated in a two year old Lambic in order to get a maximum of aromas. The Cantillon Brewery proves once again its know-how with this beer.
The color of this Belgian beer, superb, is orange-red overhung by a creamy foam. On the nose, we find the raspberry of course, but we can already feel a certain acidity. The mouth also lets the raspberry shine through. The tasting is thus led by a certain acidity and the end of mouth appears relatively dry. Very thirst-quenching.
This Rosé de Gambrinus can be drunk young to enjoy the fruity aromas of raspberry or aged for a few years to enjoy the special taste of Lambic.
