A Bit Of History :
Gueuze Tilquin à l'ancienne (7.0% alc/vol) is a spontaneous fermentation beer made from a blend of 1, 2 and 3 year old lambics. Unfiltered and unpasteurized, it is refermented in the bottle for a minimum of 6 months. The lambics used have fermented and matured in oak barrels in our facilities. They come from musts brewed by the Boon, Lindemans, Girardin and Cantillon breweries.
Its taste is sweet and dry but has a certain roundness that makes this Gueuze à l'ancienne particularly accessible to non-experts. It will also delight the amateurs of the kind by its soft complexity. It also has a slight dry bitterness due to the youth of the oak barrels used, which still release some tannins. It has a lemony and fresh nose.
