A Bit Of History :
Gouden Carolus Single Malt is a Belgian whisky, distilled from the wort of the Gouden Carolus Tripel beer. A first for Belgium are the hand-hammered copper distillation tanks, in which the wort - consisting only of malted barley - is distilled. This results in a pure and clear distillate.
Maturation in first-fill bourbon casks followed by a successive period in 'Anker' casks (oak barrels reworked by a cooper to our own speciﬁcations) results in a whisky ﬁn with a rich, balanced taste. The slightly present fruity aromas unfold in balance with a touch of vanilla and oak.
